Physical appearance:
Zodi is a mass of dark aether with a crystal "heart" functioning as his concept matrix. Although he is capable of shapeshifting, his "true" form is dictated by the concept in his crystal, and is thus the form he will be most comfortable in. This form has changed from recreation to recreation, but in essence it will be some form of Miqo'te-like being. He is short, dark-skinned, and has black hair with purple tips. In his current incarnation, his skin is streaked with crack-like scars and his right eye is blind.

Ancient (Original) Zodi
The first Zodi created by Elidibus. He manifested one night as a result of the Emissary's inner turmoil over the plans for Zodiark. Quiet and contemplative, he stood faithfully at his master's side. When Elidibus prepared to sacrifice himself to Zodiark, Ancient Zodi threw himself into his arms and they were both absorbed into the primal's heart. Ancient Zodi has been slumbering there ever since, only awakening in times of calamity to forge a link with a new Zodi.
First Era Zodi
When Elidibus separated and reformed, Zodi was not with him. His grief manifested a copy of his beloved creation. However, due to the circumstances of his creation, this Zodi had little control over his form and was in constant agony. When the Calamity approached, Ancient Zodi possessed his copy and, taking pity on his plight, killed him.
Second Era Zodi
In contrast to the first copy, whose emotions caused significant trauma, this Zodi was created with an inability to feel. Men flocked to him, believing his unique form was evidence of a prophet. Zodi extorted them for psychedelic drugs, in which he would see visions of a grand city and a man in white. Ancient Zodi, concerned that his flawed copy would eventually cause trouble for Elidibus, tricked a rival cult into slaying him.
Third Era Zodi
The first and only Zodi to present femininely, she lived in the Allagan Empire as a courtesan. Although she had trouble keeping a steady form, resulting in "melted" limbs, this made her even more appealing to certain clientele. Enraged by her disloyalty to Elidibus and attention-seeking behavior, Ancient Zodi possessed her and forced her to set herself on fire.
Fourth Era Zodi
The most independent and adventurous Zodi, he fended for himself until Elidibus made contact. However, the Emissary quickly discovered he was deaf. Despite this, he stayed with him and they journeyed together. When they sheltered during a snowstorm, Zodi heard the call of his ancient self and wandered out. Elidibus found him frozen to death, once again too late to save him.
Fifth Era Zodi
Possibly inspired by the fourth's frozen body, this Zodi was born paralyzed from the neck down. They had an immense magical wellspring, however, which Mhach quickly noticed and took advantage of. When the Mhachi retreated to the Void Ark, Ancient Zodi ensured that his recreation would be left behind. Unable to rescue himself, the fifth Zodi subsequently drowned.
Sixth Era Zodi
Realizing that his memories of the original Zodi were becoming increasingly distorted, Elidibus pleaded to Emet-Selch and Lahabrea for aid. Together they created the sixth Zodi, a near-perfect imitation. He is most similar to the original in terms of form and personality, but once again was flawed in his creation process: he could not speak. Emet-Selch took him into safekeeping, sheltering him in the Imperial Palace. When the Calamity struck, the sixth Zodi left the safety of the palace. He was crushed underneath steel when a flare hit a nearby factory and suffered fatal injuries. Elidibus found him and cradled his dying body close. As he wept, cursing the hands of fate that conspired to take his creation away, Ancient Zodi was overwhelmed by the desire to be close to his creator once more. He possessed his copy's body, but was unable to do more than simply lay in his arms and die.
Seventh Era Zodi
Like the original, this Zodi manifested by pure chance. Bereft of memory or purpose, he chose to follow his heart and wander the land as a stray. His story is his own to write.
SHAPESHIFTING: Zodi is not flesh and bone, but a mass of goopy dark aether that he can shape and form to his will.
DARK POWER: As a prototype of Zodiark, Zodi possesses the same abilities as other Ascians (albeit weaker). These include

As far as alignment goes, Zodi tilts hard chaotic neutral. He will ultimately do whatever is in his own interest, whether for entertainment or to pursue his own goals.

I realize Zodi is essentially a godmod (especially to Elidibuses, sorry!) so I'm willing to tweak part of his lore in order to facilitate easier character interaction. His "canon" will remain the same, but we can RP in an AU of sorts. Let's brainstorm it :D
I don't usually plot with new people because I want to see how our characters interact first, but that doesn't mean I'm opposed to it. RP is a two-way street after all, so if you have any ideas I'm willing to listen!
